How You Stole My heart

When I was 16 my parents took me (and my sisters) to Hawaii for the first time. The moment I stepped off of the airplane I knew I was in love. This beautiful island had totally stole my heart! It was my first love. A love that I would not and could not forget. How could it be that a place could take your breath away and leaving such a yearning in your heart? Could there really be a Heaven right here on earth? I felt like I had come home after a very long journey!

Upon returning home to Canada I searched for ways to return on a more permanent basis to my beloved Hawaii, but alas it was not to be. So when I got my first job after highschool I returned to Hawaii for a visit as soon as I could afford it!!

A few years passed and the love was still there! So I brought Hawaii to me. I had a Hawaii party and that was the night I met my soul mate, my second love! We have been married for almost 18 years now!!

In December 1999 I was finally able to convince hubby that we should go to Hawaii (he hadn't wanted to go because I had already been and he wanted me to see new things). Well I had no idea how much of a kindred spirit my dear husband really was! So I waited eagerly for my 2 loves to meet. Would hubby feel the same way I did? The moment he stepped off of the airplane he too fell totally head over heels in love with my Hawaii!! We spent a glorious 3 weeks there with our daughter. Then sadly we had to return home, leaving behind our hearts!

Since that day we have spent many hours searching for ways that we can be with our love forever, or at least have an occassional rendevous with her!! Until we are home with you, my dearest Hawaii, I know that this dull ache, and constant yearning in our hearts will never go away.
